Projects Management:

  1. Develop and implement policies to address current and emerging issues that affect the economic empowerment of Veterans of the Liberation Struggle community
  2. Develop and execute interface forums for client communities
  3. Coordinate exhibitions at National, Provincial and District level for Veterans of the Liberation Struggle, Heroes Dependants and War Victims
  4. Liaise with international / regional and local organisations on issues of mutual interest
  5. Enforce 20% quota regulation across all ministries, local authorities and parastatals
  6. Monitor and evaluate departmental performance matrix in terms of projects
  7. Provide expert guidance to Veterans of the Liberation Struggle communities in identifying viable projects and in the preparation of project documents/proposals
  8. Ensure that Veterans of the Liberation Struggle communities participate fully in national empowerment projects and programmes being implemented in the country, in liaison with other Line Ministries, Government Departments and development partners
  9. Manage a monitoring and evaluation system of projects undertaken by Veterans of the Liberation Struggle, Heroes Dependants and War Victims at National level
  10. Produce reports for onward submission to the Chief Director
  11. Optimise revenue inflows into the Veterans fund
  12. Develop an investment policy for the Ministry
  13. Conduct international benchmarking on projects and programmes portfolios
  14. Access benefits including major resources such as farms, housing stands, mines etc (Empowerment opportunities)
