Mr. Nobert Machinjike.

Head – Pay and Benefits Development and Management

Mr Nobert Machinjike joined the Public Service Commission in July 2023 as Head, Pay and Benefits Development and Management.
He is a Public Finance Economist and an accomplished strategist, who holds a Master of Arts in Policy Economics from Williams College, Centre for Development Economics, (Massachusetts, USA) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) Degree in Economics from Midlands State University. He is also a SAP Certified Application Associate in Business Objects Planning and Consolidation with a special interest in the automation of the planning and budgeting process.
Mr Machinjike worked as the Director Expenditure Management in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development from December 2022 to July 2023, having risen through the ranks from an economist in 2009 to Deputy Director responsible for Programme Based Budgeting, Public Finance Reforms and Expenditure Management in 2021. Mr Nobert Machinjike is an accomplished financial and economic analyst, a pragmatic public policy expert whose tremendous financial analytical work in the financial sector, spans over 14 years.
Mr Machinjike has held several positions in the corporate world and quasi-government entities. From January 2024 to present, he is Government Team Leader of negotiators for the National Joint Negotiation Council and is also a board member of the PSMAS since 2024. Additionally, he has been a technical representative of Treasury in the Tripartite, a role which he still holds now, representing the Public Service Commission in the Tripartite. He was a Member of the Technical Steering Committee for NDS1 (2021-2025), and Deputy Chair of the NDS1 drafting team. Further, he has led various Public Expenditure Reviews jointly prepared by the Government of Zimbabwe and the World Bank.
